As a child growing up in the English countryside I could see life being mapped out. Go to school, get a job, buy a house, get married and have a family. Inevitably this is, and hopefully will be, the course of my life… Eventually. However, I’d always hoped that there would be more than just small town life for me. I was itching to have a taste of city life, and at 21 years old, I left my office job and went in search of that bigger pond. It was in Dubai in 2009, while visiting my cousin, that I contracted the travel bug and its been living inside me ever since.
Working as cabin crew for one of the world’s busiest airlines, I’m fortunate enough to be able to travel to every corner of the globe on a regular basis. The life of a flight attendant is not always as glamorous as people think, but it has afforded me the opportunity to see some of the world’s most breathtaking sights, meet some of the most interesting people I have ever met, and puts me in contact with varied and fascinating cultures on a daily basis.
I wanted to create this blog to chronicle all my adventures from all over the globe. I have walked the Great Walls of China, discovered the amazing hidden city of Petra, and sailed down the canals of Venice to name a few. I love to take photos of my adventures, unfortunately I’m yet to own an expensive camera and I take all my photos on a small compact Lumix, but all photos in my blog are my own unless obvious (from the moon) or stated otherwise. I hope you enjoy reading about my travels, and that you too can experience these incredible places one day, they are experiences I shall never forget!
